Why is everyone making 2011 seem so bad?

Seriously I don't know what's wrong with me.
For some reason, I cannot stop spending. It’s so bad. I have to pay my mom $100 every month for my laptop and phone bill. On top of that I have to pay her back for everything that I use my credit card on. Oh my gosh. bad bad bad.
